Capital Needs Assessments - MultiFamily - Public Housing

ON-SITE INSIGHT got its start, more than twenty years ago, on a national study of public housing conditions for HUD (in which we developed the Observable Systems Approach). Since then, the firm has successfully served a diverse array of small and large housing authorities (including Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Manchester, NH, and Lincoln, NE), in three primary areas –

  • capital needs assessments (Comp Grant)
  • physical inspections (UPCS and HQS)
  • accessibility assessments (Section 504)

We are very conversant with federal public housing programs and operations. The firm has actively participated in many of the major programs of the day – from Comp Grant to HOPE VI. We have developed physical inspection and assessment programs for several public housing agencies, completed numerous exhaustive portfolio evaluations on tight schedules, and conducted training in HQS and Section 504. We are proud of our contributions to the 2003 Public Housing Operating Cost Study.
