Harvard University
Capital needs assessment
- Cambridge, MA
- More than 100 facilities with 6 million square feet of institutional and residential space, including historical architecture and complex mechanical systems
Harvard University required in-depth information and regular reporting on the physical circumstances of its real estate assets. Over the past 15 years, On-Site Insight has successfully completed more than 100 facility assessments for Harvard, including academic, residential, athletic, administrative, and commercial space. Some notable properties include Memorial Church and Faculty Club, the Science Center, Holyoke Center, and the Blodgett Pool. We paid careful attention to historical architectural detail and analyzed complex building systems of varying ages and conditions. We also integrated reporting to specific accounts and planning cycles, standardized capital planning and bidding processes, created a portfolio baseline, and developed collaborative planning and asset management tools. Our relationship with Harvard is ongoing.
